The Silver Bell Award is presented by SCI at the annual awards dinner to recognize an outstanding individual’s company’s or organization’s commitment to merchant mariners and the issues facing the maritime industry. The Dinner also recognizes the maritime community as a major source of financial support for SCI’s ongoing programs.

New York June 12, 2007: The 30th Annual Silver Bell Awards Dinner on June 7 at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan drew 1,000 supporters and raised over $1 million to support the programs of the Seamen’s Church Institute of New York & New Jersey.
