Seamen's Church Institute's maritime training is directed by Eric K. Larsson the Executive Officer, Western Rivers. Mr. Larsson, with SCI since 1984, is responsible for the overall direction of the facilities associated with training in New York, Paducah, KY, and Houston, TX, including policy, planning and oversight of curriculum development, hydrodynamic model development and course instruction. A 1976 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation, and held an Unlimited Chief Mates License. He received a Master's Degree in Adult Education from Fordham University. He is also working toward a PhD in Educational Psychology at Fordham University.
